Amir Leron

Chair of the Board & Founder
Amir provides strategic leadership for Guardians of the Jungle, representing the organization globally and ensuring alignment with its mission to protect the Amazon and its indigenous peoples. A graduate of the L.A. Film School, he was invited as the first professional photographer to capture the beauty of the Huni Kuin people deep in the Brazilian Amazon. From that encounter, he founded Amazon Calling, a project that brought indigenous Amazonian faces and voices to the world, raising global awareness of the Huni Kuin culture. With over 20 years of intercultural experience, Amir continues to build bridges between worlds, raising awareness and mobilizing support for the forest and its guardians.


Lucia Chiappara

Director of Projects & Indigenous Communications
Lucia provides hands-on leadership for all Guardians of the Jungle initiatives, coordinating directly with indigenous leaders to maximize community impact while ensuring every project is culturally respectful and in harmony with ancestral traditions. With MSc degrees in Management Science from the London School of Economics and Mathematics from the University of Buenos Aires, she brings both strategic and analytical skills to her role. Over the past decade, she has built deep relationships with Amazonian tribes, learning their culture and daily realities, and advocating for their needs through projects such as Jaguar Whisper which empowers indigenous artisans.


Rob McAdams

Chief Financial Strategist & Treasurer

Rob oversees financial planning, donor fund management, and long-term sustainability strategies for Guardians of the Jungle. An investment banker with expertise in expanding access to healthcare for rural and tribal communities, he holds dual master’s degrees in Finance and Real Estate & Construction Management from the University of Denver. With over 20 years of nonprofit volunteer experience, Rob combines financial acumen with a passion for bringing critical resources to the indigenous peoples of the Amazon and helping preserve their way of life.


Dr. Tony Greco

Director of Legal Affairs & Policy Advisor
Dr. Tony Greco provides legal, governance, and policy guidance to ensure Guardians of the Jungle operates with transparency, compliance, and strategic alignment. A licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and community empowerment, Dr. Greco brings expertise in organizational governance, event management, and policy development. His diverse background in psychology, business, and advocacy equips him to navigate complex challenges while supporting the wellbeing of the communities we serve.


Frank T. Florez

Indigenous Relations Advisor (Chumash Nation)
Frank T. Florez strengthens Guardians of the Jungle’s relationships with indigenous peoples across the Americas, fostering intercultural collaboration and shared advocacy for indigenous rights and environmental protection. With ancestral roots in the Coastal Band Chumash (Santa Barbara, Cordero family) and Chiricahua Jicarilla Apache (Las Vegas, New Mexico, Quintana family), Frank has dedicated his life to preserving and sharing indigenous knowledge, healing practices, and cultural heritage. His professional work spans roles as an ethnobotanist, cultural interpreter, archaeological consultant, and Native American advisor to the Los Angeles Unified School District. Trained with diverse Indigenous communities, Frank brings deep cultural lineage and lived experience to guide our work with authenticity and respect.


Alex Moreno

Director of Media & Outreach
Alex leads media strategy, public relations, and creative storytelling for Guardians of the Jungle, raising awareness and mobilizing support for the Amazon and its people. With decades of experience in the entertainment industry and a lifelong dedication to indigenous cultural preservation, he combines professional production skills with a deep spiritual connection to the land. Alex works to share the forest’s story through documentaries, film, and creative campaigns, inspiring global action to protect its natural and cultural heritage.
